Repeat Impressions Challenges

Okay, so I have no visitors.  That's okay because I am so critical of my work, I'm afraid of the feedback I'll get.  Anyway....I have more challenges from Repeat Impressions- the design team I am on.  I have finished 9 cards, but I will only show you half today and save the rest for later.

All are made with only Repeat Impressions Stamps.  Enjoy and I hope your weather is warmer than mine here on the East Coast.  Happy New Year.  Amy

Ranger Challenge

These were inspired by Tim Holtz's 12 days of Christmas tags.  I used several new techniques on them and entered into the December Challenge on Rangerlink group.

Holiday Greetings

Once again, sorry about the head tilting to see, but no one ever visits this blog anyway but me so whatever....

Two more holiday cards, maybe one will be yours.  The image on the left is Repeat Impressions and the right is Hero Arts and Cuttlebug.

Enjoy.  Amy

Sheltering Tree

This is a retired set from SU!  I really liked the tree, but have not used this set very often.  (I need to fit an owl in that tree! )
I saw a card with buttons in the tree and had to try it myself.  Very simple, I did the rock and roll technique to get a variation of color in the leaves.  I left a sentiment off for now, until I decide what to use the card for.

Happy Hoolidays

Owls seem to be all over the place right now.  These 2 cards made with a santa hat from a SU! set.  I used  liquid applique and a Ranger EP for details.  I think they came out cute!

violin snowman

I got this stamp on clearance from Stampington, because my son plays the violin and I thought it would make a cute card.  I colored with copics, which I am not to good at yet.  The snowman himself is flocked.  I cased the card form Cardmaker magazine, on the cover.  I liked the layout.

Portland Head Lighthouse

I really like how this card came out.  I used a Dreamweaver stencil and Santa over Portland Head Light from Repeat Impressions.  The tiles are embossed with clear EP.  This technique is  not a quickie, but the results are usually fantastic.

Altered Tins

I made some altered tins to hold trading cards and other things.  Emma really enjoyed making one as well.  I will post hers later if she will give it up for a few minutes.  She keeps asking me to let her make more.

silhouette card

More fun with the silhouette stamps.  This is another from Starving Artistamps, embossed and then the ink was wiped away.  I think it needs a sentiment, but I will wait until I need a card to do that.

cuttlebug fun

I had to make 2 birthday cards and wanted to try some inking on a cuttlebugged impression.  I like how they came out.  I used a brayer and filled in with a cotton ball the bare spots.

silhouette card

I haven't posted in a while, not that I haven't been creating, just too lazy to take a picture, send to email, post to blog.....  I really don't know how people find the time to post to their blog every day.  There must be  a short cut I am missing.

This was a simple card to make and I think it looks very elegant.  The stamp is from a sheet of rubber from Starving Artistamps of all silhouette flowers.  I'm really enjoying this type of stamp.

2 more cards

Here are two more cards I created.  The frogs are from Close to my Heart and the OWL card is from scrapbook papers.

jewelry

I thought I would put up some of the jewelry I also create.  It's pretty simple, but time consuming and well worth it.  I always get compliments when I wear one of these pieces.

Here are a few more cards that may appear in the Gallery over at Repeat Impressions.  Enjoy.

Sympathy Cards

I don't have a lot of "sympathy" themed stamps, but did find this great little stamp from a set from Stampin' Up! called Fancy Flexible Phrases.  Unfortunately I had to make this card for a friend.  I love the daisies silhouette's.

4 more Repeat Impressions Cards

I really like creating cards for purpose.  The simple purpose of these is to show you how fun these stamps are and how creative you can be.  These will be posted in the Repeat Impressions Gallery as well, but you get to see them here first.  The quality of the pictures is not so good.  I took them on my iPhone, trying to eliminate the step of uploading them from my camera.  Not too bad.

Repeat Impressions Stamps

I have 10 new cards that will be in the Gallery over at Repeat Impressions.   So...instead of posting them all here, please visit my Gallery at  www.repeatimpressions.com/dsgnteam.html and click on my head shot.   I will show you one right now, but the rest you'll have to see over at the gallery.  Keep checking over there and let me know what you think.  Enjoy.  Amy

more bandana techniques

I love the look of the background using the Ranger white Ink pen.  This is a birthday card I made with the 1.00 special stamps.  Very simple and very fun to create.  I will have some new Repeat Impression stamps up on the blog and gallery soon.

More cuttlebuggin'

Here are two more designs made with the cb embossing folders.  I got some bazzill bling papers and decided to try them out.  They are kind of cool, but I can't think of using them for anything other than matting- I don't think I'd like to stamp on it.

Crafting with Emma

Emma and I crafted together today for a challenge.  The challenge was to use Robin Beam' s Bandana Technique and you all know how much I love this.  I had to create something new so Emma and I sat down and I taught her how to sponge on inks and do some doodling.  While I swirled my colors, she swiped and made horizontal colors.  She really had to have that purple and green ribbon and some pop dots as well.  She knows my style too well!  The final choice was to add the rhinestone bling to the center of some of the designs.  Fun day activities during a tropical storm warning.

UTEE cloisonne tile

I made this keychain with black UTEE and a stamp I made myself with bits of leftover rubber.  You can see the video on YouTube by Suze Weinberg on the technique.  I love those videos with the melting pot.  Always something fun and new to create.  I tried to include the link, but it wouldn't let me cut and paste it into the text for another odd reason I can't figure out.  I think it came out cool.

Two more Repeat Impressions Cards

I have two new cards to share.  The first is with stickles and the second is with Twinkling H2O's.  I love the bling, however, I have a hard time photographing anything with metallic or shine.  Both are made with the same Repeat Impressions Stamp.

Blogging for Dummies

Okay, so I found the book, but it's no help.  I did figure out how to make my "about me" image the right size.  It was a bit scary seeing a 5 X 7 of me when I hit that blogspot bookmark.  I've searched the book for rotating images- but nothing.  And of course I wanted to show some pictures of my desk, but everytime I upload the jpeg- of course it is sideways.  Go figure.  So nothing to show today.  Have fun, Amy

blogging woes

Okay, I still need a blog 101 course.  I can't for the life of me figure out how to find a header for my blog.  Is there a place I can find this.  I checked my library for Blogging for Dummies, but didn't find anything.  Here are some cards I did for the Design Team over at Repeat Impressions. You will be able to view them at the Repeat Impressions website very soon.  Enjoy.

sock monkey

This is a new stamp set coming soon.  I colored with watercolor crayons.  Very simple, cute.  So not me but a versatile set due to all the things the monkey can hold.

Movers and Shapers

Thanks to Jay over at Indigo Inklings I can now use my window movers and shapers die in the CB.  This card does 2 window cuts, one on the card itself and one on the frame for the windows.  This is exactly the look I wanted, those cute little window on the card.  Perfect for those small stamps.  The colors are Pacific Point and Baja Breeze, the new SU in colors.  Enjoy.
